| DOLE QUEUE Definition: (British) When people talk about the dole queue, they are talking about the state of being unemployed, especially when saying when saying how many people are unemployed. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Short - percentage is less than that provided the last time. 2. 'Moving' - cannot be stayed in for too long; work will be secured. 3. Restricted or uncomfortable - the talented or persons voluntarily disengaged or those naturally endowed will not try to get onto the line. 4. 'Livable' - gives succour by way of unemployment benefit or 'the dole'. 5. Limiting - never readmits former jobless; and no room for choosers. _______________________________ ...
