| IMPORTER Definition: A person, company, etc. that buys goods from another country to sell them in their own country. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize, connect to #2). 2. Considers it a necessity to engage in line of trade. 3. Registered and known as involved in the line of business. That is, person or company has an address, a warehouse, etc. And makes correct and appropriate returns to all legal, corporate authorities. 4. Imports marketable products and services - used or new item, fakes or originals, in units or in bulk, poor or high quality, etc. 5. Things brought in to own country are durable, not those about to reach their best-before or use-by dates (where applicable). 6. Pays all taxes (= duties, fees, etc.) due, and correctly too, on both sides of the border, on the purchases and sales, as applicable. 7. Person or company achieves objective(s). That is, makes sales and earns profit from transactions/business. 8. Buys (= imports) are not illegal, banned or illicit! 9.
