Moral hazard
MORAL HAZARD

Definition: (informal) A situation in which an undue risk is taken only because the costs will be borne by another party.

1. Purposeful for, and considered necessary by, who takes the chance.

2. Expected benefit or gain, if plan works, will be truly gargantuan.

3. Envisaged loss or disadvantage, when the plan fails, will be great.

4. Who will bear costs will be informed early of likelihood of a loss.

5. Serious, concerted efforts will be made for enterprise to succeed.

6. Safety nets that will be available will be assuring or strong. That is, who is in situation will not or cannot be exposed to danger.

7. Never proudly announced even as no apology will be rendered for the choice (mischief-making) made, which might be bad for another.

8. Will be lived with, whatever the outcome(s) of risk-taking.
