Definition: (British, informal, disapproving) A person who pretends to know a lot about a particular subject in order to impress people.

1. Will have a purpose and think it necessary to impress others.

2. Won't refuse a challenge to a 'debate'. Or will give a reason to.

3. Labours to prove a claim, stance, genuineness, veracity, etc.

4. Never discloses source of info, won't acknowledge a contributor.

5. Usually reiterates, repeats or expatiates on facts already stated.

6. Never inquires in the end if listeners or audience is impressed.

7. Gets away with pretence or delusion. That is, achieves goal(s). In other words, person won't be put-down while talking or doing a thing.
