| REVERSING LIGHT Definition: (British English) A white light at the back of a vehicle that comes on when the vehicle moves backwards. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see perfect WARNING (1)). 2. Whiteness is clear to the normal eye (see perfect BRIGHTNESS (2)). 3. Paired. That is, light comes on, on both rear lights (see perfect JALOPY). 4. Light is stable, not 'shaking' or 'blinking' to mislead others behind (see perfect CONFUSION (2)). 5. Comes on only when the reverse gear is engaged (to emphasize) (see perfect FUNCTIONALITY (1)). 6. Light, when on, is indicated on the panel or dashboard (see perfect VEHICLE (1)). 7.
