| SHACKLE (3) Definition: (usually plural) Something considered to impede or prevent free movement. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Unavoidable, even if not inevitable, all other things being equal. 2. Thing has a bittersweet quality, i.e. can't be completely rejected (condemned) or fully embraced (condoned). In other words, the prevailing situation or circumstance has to be lived with. 3. Thing imposes an onus or duty which cannot be shirked or delegated. 4. Can be gotten rid of by consistently and seriously addressing the issue in question such that the limited or restricted movement won't be seen as a loss or inconvenience or disadvantage. 5.
